Resort Park Provides for
Re-enactors and Visitors

The grateful management of the Blue Licks Battlefield State Resort Park demonstrated their appreciation of re-enactors Saturday (August 16). Their show of gratitude included a pool party, a pioneer feast, a performance by Gun Powder Creek and thirty door prizes. While giving the re-enactors due appreciation; the park staff provided non-stop events for spectators of all ages. The re-enactment of the Battle of Blue Licks is fast becoming the model other events should copy.

Park Manager receives letter from visitor

I had a guest call me to tell me what a wonderful time she had during the re-enactment weekend….well, actually I had SEVERAL guests call about their experience…BUT this lady not only went on and on about the event over the phone, but she took the time to write to the re-enactors personally. She kept stating how the re-enactors put so much passion and heart into the event and as we were chatting it came up that if she wrote a letter to the re-enactors, that I would do my best to see that they received it.

I know that I always enjoy positive feedback. It just feels good to be appreciated and recognized so I would love for the re-enactors to hear what an impact they make in the lives of others…….

I seriously cannot even begin to express all of the comments that have came pouring in about this re-enactment. Everyone did such an amazing job and we truly appreciate the re-enactors that took the time to make the trip. It was a huge success and people haven't stopped talking about it.
